This flag is my unique take on the Colorado flag. Small slices of wood were cut and arranged with their end grain up, showing the natural rings and checking in the wood. They have been stained blue and white to represent the stripes in the flag. The C and middle yellow were cut by hand, painted, and attached on top of the stained background for a unique 3D look.
 
The whole piece is then tied together with a summer oak stained frame. It is 22 1/4" long by 12 1/2" tall. The whole piece weighs almost 7 lbs., so it is recommended to hang it from nails in wall studs. Two sawtooth hangers are installed on the back 16" apart so you can use studs.
